canadian settlements (5)

Life was hard for the habitats. They had to clear their land, cutting down trees . after they grew there own crops. They grew wheat for bread and hay for their animals. They had many animals they raised chickens and pigs, cows for milk and meat, sheep for wool, and horses to pull sleighs.
Children had farm chores to do such as weeding and hoeing the garden.
Life was harder in France then In New France, they owned their own farms and there was plenty more wood of there own for heating and lots of fish and wild animals for them to eat. When they weren't working they liked to visit friends and family and have parties with lots of food, singing, and dancing.
even though life was hard they had fun, and enjoyed almost every moment of it.
