my diary

Diary September 1775 I am going to America with my big family in a few days, so that we can have more freedome. I'm so exited! Its going to take a long time to get there, that i am not exited for.

DEAR DIARY: we're here in thee new home in Canada. It seems more peaceful here, but I still think I would rather be in America were I was born.all though its so much more peace full here I miss all the great things I did with my family.
I still remember, from about a year ago, when we had to leave. but my twenty year old brother said that they would torture us or kill us if we staid there any longer.(I'm pretty sure he's just pulling my leg) The mean patriots broke down every Dore in the house, armed with weapons. to get us out of the house.my father tried to knock-out one of them out but they took one of his fingers.I could not believe how strong they were. crying in fright telling them to leave.

We took are most valuable belongings and flew north. Luckily, we met a neighbour's family, on the way, to Canada before we starved and then travelled with them. I was so happy my best friend was in the family that we were travailing with. we had a better time then we would have if we were not there for another. We settled in Upper Canada for a few days before we travelled again to Lower Canada, where most Loyalists are. Thats were we found are selves most comfortable. I loved the little village where my family settled. There are so many new things to see. Tha grass is greener, the treas are larger and there are so many more animals. I made a few more friends instead of watshing my father build a bigger hut for us to live in. I'm more happy now. (Here are some of the web sites I found 1 2 3 4 )

Family day was not only about spending time with your family but to remember the man named Louis Riel because...Louis Riel was born at the Red River Colony in what is now Manitoba on October 22, 1844. He stopped going to school when his father died so he could get a job and help his family. Then after a few years When the Government of Canada bought the land of the Red River then the people were worried about their future and about keeping their rights and away of life.
When they soon found that they needed a leader they chose Louis Riel To show that he wanted to talk directly to Ottawa, Riel formed something called a Metis government. Then he stopped the Canadian representative from entering the colony.
Then the Government took control of a place called Upper Fort Garry, He then helled many people there as prisoners.
Riel did not really know when to keep peace so he became afraid of his own life.

So although we have all of this information about Rial we have him here today to answer some questions...
So what brings you here today?
You wanted me to answer your questions.
oh yeah.
What made you scared of your life?
Well when I was the leader Ottawa sent troops to the new Provence, and I didn't know how to keep peace, that made it even harder to face the people who looked up to me.

well that seems ruff. So what turned you off of becoming a priest?
Well my parent's didn't have enough money so i left school to get a job.
You seem help full. Did you drink or smoke?
No I did not.
your a good man.
Thank-you.
was there any other languages that you spoke?
Yes there was English, and Germain.
well if there was any thing else you could change about what you did in your life what would it be?
I think i wouldn't have bin that leader.
I know i wouldn't have.
your a great man but that's all the time we have for today.
Will you come back.
Yes of course I will.
Thank You......Ladies and gentle men Luise Riel.
BYE.....Thank you for having me.
No problem.

Assignment # 7

I chose Lotta Hitschmanova because she came to Canada as a refugee, She was born in Prague. she came to Canada in 1942, then she started working for the worlds helpless especially children. she founded the Canadian branch of an aid agency the Unitarian Service. So that's what interested me the most about her. I found her category most interesting because it talks about helping people who need the most help in the world.

1) the category that interested me the most was we founded because the people in this category were helping and cinder then the others.

2) I seemed to have liked the we founded the most because they seemed nicer then all the others in all the other category's.

3) the personality that interested me the most was Lotta Hitschmanova , because she helped people that needed the most help like children and other people.

Lotta Hitschmanova was my favorite because i liked the way she helped others and wanted to do that for a living. That inspires me to help people more often and be a good person.

She came to Canada in 1942 to be a person who helps the helpless.

for one of the three people i also suggest is of them is Nellie McClung because she was a dominant figure in Canadian feminism. she started teaching when she was just 16 years old. One of the others are a french Canadian who grew up in poverty her name is Gabriell Roy because she was a writer. she wrote many books.and grew to be a wonderful young lady. Finley the last person I suggest is Jackrabbit” Johannsen because suffering bankruptcy during the Depression, he translated his hobby into a businesses he stands for love and nature so hes a peaceful man. although he was literally raised on skis funny he must like winter.
I got matched up with Emily Carr at first i thought she was a male... sorry...we have a few things in commune like I like to draw and paint... but I get extremely messy then my mom gets angry, some times she makes me laugh. sadly I could not find out out who she was. Some of the things that are different between us are that shes a better drawer , she has sisters and i only have two step brothers, she wrote books and i didn't, Emily's always loved drawing I only started to like it like last year.
when I was younger I said .......... when I'm older I want to be a singer or model because my mother and my hole family say that I'm a good singer and at other times they say I should be a model because I'm tall and I have gorges long hair and eyes.those are two of the accomplishments I want to make the other accomplishment I would like to make is to have a beautiful family ........... Now I'm older and I have all of my accomplishments I have three children, a husband I was a model when I was Younger and now I'm a singer I have four albums out. my suns name is Alex my two daughters names are Audrey and Madison. My husbands name is kyle.
I think I would be remembered for my singing and my modeling because people would have remembered my modeling and people would have my CDs.

canadian settlements (5)

Life was hard for the habitats. They had to clear their land, cutting down trees . after they grew there own crops. They grew wheat for bread and hay for their animals. They had many animals they raised chickens and pigs, cows for milk and meat, sheep for wool, and horses to pull sleighs.
Children had farm chores to do such as weeding and hoeing the garden.
Life was harder in France then In New France, they owned their own farms and there was plenty more wood of there own for heating and lots of fish and wild animals for them to eat. When they weren't working they liked to visit friends and family and have parties with lots of food, singing, and dancing.
even though life was hard they had fun, and enjoyed almost every moment of it.

hisory in the future (assignment #3)

In the future i think the world will have a cure for aides and other things like global worming. If there was a cure for global worming that wold be cool. I also think that the prise of gas will go up. some of the technology will also be allot better like computers and etc. I also think that people wont use boring text books any more and that there will be lots more ways that you can loos wait and you can sit in a car with no wheels and no driver and actually go some were by just tipping something in that would be really, really cool. Don't you think? Some other things that i think Will happen are that people will have new clothing stiles like more black i don't know why it just because that I've noticed that people are starting to were more black than a few years ago, rather sad. I also think that people might stop having kids because allot of people that i know don't like kids for some Reason. their will also be Les trees then there are now because people waist paper to much.
